Dr. Chan Wai Fan qualified from University of Hong Kong and trained in Department of Surgery, Queen Mary Hospital. During this period he had an extensive surgical training as a general surgical specialist. Dr. Chan was appointed Chief Resident to the Department of Surgery at Queen Mary Hospital in 2001.
In 2002, Dr. Chan was appointed surgeon specialist to the University of Hong Kong Medical Centre with a special interest in Endocrine and Thyroid Surgery. At the same time he had general and laparoscopic surgical responsibility at the Queen Mary Hospital. From 1996, he was Honorary Clinical Lecturer and Assistant Professor of University of Hong Kong. Dr. Chan has presented worldwide and published widely on all aspects of Endocrine and Thyroid Surgery.
